Digital Content Marketing Specialist

The Digital Content Marketing Specialist is responsible for Carrot-Top’s Day-to-Day content development to meet marketing activities. As a Digital Content Marketing Specialist creating digital content that aligns with Carrot-Top’s voice. The Content Marketing Specialist is responsible for managing various ongoing marketing projects including promotional material, email, website, blog, and social media. While this role specializes in our content, on our team a marketing role will support overall company marketing efforts related to product and advertising efforts as needed. Digital Content Marketing is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and managing the overall content strategy and driving the content calendar for the company.

Our Specialists are good marketing generalists as well and good at reading and reacting to data, have strong interpersonal skills and can prioritize assignments against the team’s big picture goals. The Digital Content Marketing Specialist in content is responsible for developing solutions to meet Carrot-Top’s brand objectives based on consumer insight and data to help drive things like SEO, and conversions. The generalist concept means that marketing team members are cross-functionally trained and ultimately can support the overall mission of marketing however the specialist portion of their role owns their “specialist area” of focus.

Essential Functions: 

  • Build, plan and develop the overall content strategy and drive content calendar.
  • Research products, services, and current content strategies to identify new opportunities, driving blog content, to improve sea, monthly newsletter, and social media engagement
  • Monitor Search Engine Optimization/Search Engine Marketing (SEO/SEM), marketing, and sales performance metrics to forecast trends leveraging data.
  • Assist in Identify digital PPC advertising needs with improved content focused on conversion.
  • Create content for the Carrot-Top website related to products and services.
  • Research and map keywords on the Carrot-Top website.
  • Create SEO-driven content and campaigns.
  • Support in writing conversion customer-focused product descriptions for web and catalog
  • Achieve annualized KPI goals
  • Analyze website and content performance, make suggestions to improve SEO and customer engagement.
  • Conduct outreach to drive referrals, backlinks, and guest blogs to help increase traffic to the website.
  • Develop and maintain cross-functional marketing skills such as learning various tools, Klaviyo, SEO, Brightedge, Netsuite, SuiteCommerce, Google Analytics, etc.
  • Manage multiple marketing projects over an extended time
  • Create promotional material, including blog posts, email marketing, press releases, etc.
  • Update website content as needed
  • Present project updates to the Marketing and relevant departments as needed
  • Cross-trained in multiple areas of the business to support the company fellow marketing staff as needed.

Non-Essential Functions: 

  • Completes special projects as needed.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Education:

  • Bachelors Degree preferred (Journalism, marketing or related fields)
  • 2+ years of content creator, with content calendar execution, SEO, social media strategy, and implementation experience
  • 2+ years of digital marketing experience, including paid, or eCommerce
  • 1+ years of graphic design experience
  • Or a combination of each 

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:

  • Knowledge of HTML including the ability to edit, design and build a web document
  • Knowledge of Microsoft products, specifically Excel, and Word
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics, Brightedge, and other web analytic tools
  • Strong project management and administrative skills

ACCOUNT RELATIONSHIP SPECIALIST I (ARS I)

The Account Relationship Specialist I (ARS I) is an inbound role that provides service by answering customer questions, recommending products, processing quotes, orders and returns. The professional will be knowledgeable on Carrot-Top product and service offerings so they can provide product solution recommendations based on customer requirements and respond to questions based on customers’ reservations. Customer interactions may include Inbound calls, chats as well as emails to our Service In-Box.

This person will also manage customer inquiries and complaints and will escalate complaints across communication channels, remaining calm and composed when customers are frustrated. Account Relationship Specialist I will also be facilitating upsells and cross-sells of products on inbound calls and/or email interactions. The Account Relationship Specialist I may be making outbound calls to our existing customer base to alert them of new product, promotions and other great Carrot-Top opportunities when necessary. As leads are identified, ARS I’s will pass along to our ARS II for follow up. Outbound call activity, outside of season may be up to 50% of activity such tasks as Data validation, sales/bundle campaigns and Sales/Promo calls.

Experience working with computers, ARS I’s will navigate across tools and systems needed in daily operations. Maintaining a positive attitude and courteous demeanor during activity peaks is expected.

Essential Functions: 

  • Answer incoming customer calls and respond to online chats.
  • Respond to customer emails.
  • Recommend products to best suit the customer’s intended use, environment and weather conditions.
  • Ability to walk customers through basic troubleshooting or setup processes
  • Verify customer data captured in order entry system.
  • Process quotes and orders within company standards.
  • Process and acknowledge vendor purchase orders.
  • Handle customer returns.
  • Process catalog requests and removal requests.
  • Requires the ability to see, read and enter information on a computer screen; ability to determine color
  • Cross-trained in multiple areas of the business to support fellow staff as needed.

Non-Essential Functions:

Education:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 2+ years of customer service experience
  • 1+ years of inbound and outbound call experience
