Our standard Department of Housing and Urban Development flag are digitally printed on durable nylon whereas official flags feature embroidered HUD seals. The HUD seal consists of a white background with the words “U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT” in blue making the outer circle. In the center is an image of an abstract eagle made of blue and green straight bars. There are six blue upper bars creating the torso of the eagle and eight lower green bars depicting the Eagle’s wings. There are also two stars on either side of the eagle, the one on the left is colored green and the one on the right is blue. The HUD flag and seal is representative of the urban landscape and high rise buildings and the eagle is a sign of federal authority.
