The 82nd Airborne patch features a red square with the letter “AA” embroidered on to it. “AA” refers to the division’s nickname “All-Americans” after it was formed in 1917. Above the red square is a white banner portion with the word “AIRBORNE” sewn in on a blue background, on either side of the square are two wings symbolizing the nature of the missions carried out by fearless paratroopers. The 82nd Airborne division is still active today performing some of the nation’s most daunting combat mission. The 82nd Airborne patches can be ironed or sewn onto any fabric you desire. These patches are great for decorating or wearing as a sign of respect and to honor the soldiers who wear the red beret.
