Virgin Islands Flags
The U. S. Virgin Islands flag denotes the rich and colorful heritage of the Islands and acknowledges the strength and protection of the United States. The US Virgin Island flag consists of a golden eagle stretched between the letters “V” and “I.” The eagle holds three arrows which symbolize the Islands of St. Thomas, St. Croix and Saint John and an olive branch. The color yellow denotes the characteristic of the Territory and its flowers, blue and green symbolize the hills and the crystal clear waters while red epitomizes the love of the people. Originally, a Dutch colony, the U.S. purchased the Islands for $25 million in gold to help maintain control of the Panama Canal during World War I.
Our US Virgin Islands state flags are available in several varieties including two outdoor fabrics. Our Beacon Nylon Outdoor US Virgin Island flag, a Carrot-Top exclusive, is the most versatile state flag. These durable flags have the advantage of being strong yet lightweight. These state flags are crafted from tough, skillfully woven polyester yet have the texture and feel of cotton. They are able to stand up to high winds and are the best choice for coastal areas and extreme weather.
The indoor US Virgin Islands flag is fashioned with exquisite stitching, a lined pole sleeve and plush, traditional gold fringe.
