North Carolina State Flags
Did you know? The original state flag was adopted in 1861 and featured a simple design. (shown below)
Replaced in 1885, the North Carolina flag we know today features a blue union and two horizontal stripes (one red and the other white). It bears the dates May 20, 1775 recognizing the Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence and April 12, 1776 recognizing Halifax Resolve which played a big part in the American independence movement.
We're proud to offer the North Carolina state flag in two different outdoor fabrics, including nylon for an North Carolina flag that flies in a light wind and an extra-tough polyester North Carolina flag designed to withstand the elements. Even our miniature 4 inch by 6 inch North Carolina flags mounted to a plastic dowel are perfect for classroom, special events, parades and more! Looking for something for a parade or indoor application? Our indoor fringed North Carolina flags feature luxurious gold fringe on 3 sides and a pole sleeve end for a clean look.
