The flag of Spain was initially a Naval Ensign and marine flag until it was formalized as Spain’s national banner. These flags are available in three types for indoor, outdoor and mini flag displays. Both indoor and outdoor flags are made of durable nylon and can be flown on any standard indoor, parade and outdoor flagpole. See the description at the bottom or click on a picture to learn more about each flag type.
The National Spain flag features a three-band design where the top and bottom stripes are colored red and the center one is yellow. In the center stripe towards the left (hoist side) of the flag is the nation’s Coat of Arms. The official description of the flag states that the Coat of Arms’ axis should be the center point of the flag. The Spanish national flag has an interesting history in that it was the Naval Ensign for the nation first, later it became prominent in Marine institutions, marine barracks and other coastal and Naval structures. The flag was adopted as the national banner in 1843 when Queen Isabella II made it official by Royal Decree.
Our Spanish flags come in three different types. The outdoor flag have a canvas header to strengthen the hoist end (end attached to flagpole). It also has grommets that allow any flagpole rope to be attached to the flag allowing it be flown on any of our outdoor flagpoles. The indoor Spain flags have a gold fringe and pole sleeve. The pole sleeve attached is lined and capped to accommodate an indoor or parade flagpole. The miniature flag can be combined with our mini flag accessories.
