National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day: A Day Of Patriotism, Appreciation & Reflection

Each year on December 7, Americans observe National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day to honor the 2,400 U.S. military service members and civilians who died during the Imperial Japanese Navy and Air Force’s attack on Pearl Harbor. How VA National Cemeteries Plan To Commemorate Memorial Day Amidst COVID-19

Due to COVID-19, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is approaching public Memorial Day ceremonies in a different way this year. Public events, such as organizations’ placement of flags at gravesites, will not be allowed at VA cemeteries although they will be open for public visitation. Some cemeteries may use staff members to place flags at the graves to ensure public safety and proper social distancing. While the VA is providing direction to their cemeteries, smaller and privately-owned cemeteries can abide by their own rules unless they are subject to local restrictions. MS Research Donation By Carrot-Top Industries Makes A Positive Impact

Carrot-Top Industries’ continued success has allowed it to give back to the MS community through their annual donations to fund MS research. Carrot-Top’s latest donation of $70,000 to the National MS Society will help improve the lives of those living with MS. Dwight and Lynne Morris launched Carrot-Top out of their Oak Park, IL, home in 1980, six years after Lynne was diagnosed with MS. The Morris family worked hard to provide flags and patriotic products to communities across America, and in 1987, Carrot-Top and the Morris family relocated to Hillsborough, NC.
